“In Jerusalem he made machines invented by skillful men to be on the towers and the [corner] bulwarks, with which to shoot arrows and great stones. And his fame spread far, for he was marvellously helped till he was strong.” 2 Chronicles 26:15 AMPC
The above scripture refers to Uzziah, a King of Judah who, at a very young age of sixteen years, was unexpectedly crowned king due to the assassination of his father, king Amaziah.
He ascended the throne of Judah in very uncertain times as his country had suffered defeat in battle many years before and to the dismay of the people, his father had turned away from God to idol worship.
Uzziah did the right thing after he was crowned, by making a firm decision to follow the Lord wholeheartedly. As long as he served the Lord, God made him to prosper and he was marvellously helped until he became very great.
