Lead Yourself With Vision

Beloved,

I believe that strong leadership begins with the ability to see, and this is nothing to do with eyesight because the world has produced great people in time past who had vision impairment, like Louis Braille, inventor of Braille Writing that has helped countless of blind people across the world to enjoy stories and receive great education.

I have often said that vision is the ability to see what could become, while sight is the ability to see only what exists. We live in a world where many are conditioned and conformed to the usual or the normal either by choice or by forces beyond their control including the fear of the unknown.

Moses, a great leader of the exodus of God’s people from Egypt, captured the below experience in the book of Deuteronomy:

“Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the Lord spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days. And the Lord spake unto me, saying, Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭2:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s interesting to note that although he had led the people to take a turn into the wilderness, at God’s instruction, they reached a point of stagnation where, even though they made some motion, it did not result in any progress towards their objective.

As you begin your new work week today, take some time to assess your activities and understand how well you are making progress towards your goals, otherwise you will just repeat the same things as last week or even the month before without any meaningful achievements.

Life never rewards efforts, life rewards results so, think the unusual, talk the unusual, do the unusual, and see unusual results. If you have done all you can, and still cannot see beyond your nose, then ask the Holy Spirit for inspiration and guidance and He will show you the way forward as the scriptures say:

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Stay inspired & motivated!
