Your Time and Turn of Favour Have Come

Have you ever felt like you're working hard but not seeing results? Or perhaps you've been praying for a breakthrough that seems delayed? Today's message brings hope: your time and turn of favour have come! When God decides it's your time for favour, nothing can stop it. No power from hell, no person born of woman can hinder what God has ordained for you. Let's explore what divine favour means and how you can position yourself to receive it.

What Happens When Your Time of Favour Comes?

When Esther's turn came to go before King Ahasuerus, Scripture tells us "she obtained favour in the sight of all who saw her" (Esther 2:15). This wasn't just ordinary approval - it was supernatural favour that led to her being crowned queen.

Psalm 102:13 confirms this principle: "You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favour her, yes, the set time, has come." There is a set time, an appointed time for favor in your life. And that time is now!

When your time of favour comes:

  1. People will stop for you

  2. Opportunities will find you

  3. You will receive your crown

  4. One day of favour can accomplish what years of labour couldn't achieve

How Does Divine Favour Differ from General Favour?

It's important to understand that divine favour is different from general favour. While everyone experiences some level of general grace, supernatural divine favour is reserved specifically for God's children. Psalm 5:12 tells us: "For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favour You will surround him as with a shield." This special favour acts as protection and opens doors that would otherwise remain closed.

Consider this story: A governor in Nigeria was travelling with his convoy when he spotted a woman selling granules by the roadside. Something compelled him to stop. After tasting her product, he gave her a standing order to supply the Government House monthly at the rate of 3 million naira. One moment of divine favour completely transformed her life!

What Is the Crown God Has Prepared for You?

After Esther found favour, "the king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen" (Esther 2:17). There is a crown with your name on it. In your business, in your career, in your ministry - there is a position of honour God has prepared specifically for you. No one else can wear your crown. It's designed to fit you perfectly. When your time comes, you will wear your crown. God will single you out for blessing and promotion that others will recognise as supernatural.

How Can I Attract Divine Favour in My Life?

While favour is God's gift, there are ways to position yourself to receive it:

1. Commit to Righteous Living
Psalm 5:12 reminds us that God blesses the righteous with favour. Just as royal children must behave in ways that honour the palace, we as God's children must live in ways that bring honour to His kingdom.

2. Be Kingdom-Addicted
Psalm 102:14 says, "For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favour to her dust." When you love the things of God's kingdom and invest in them, you attract heaven's favour. Consider King David's example in 1 Chronicles 29:3: "Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver." When you give your best to God, you receive God's best in return.

3. Show Favour to Others
Matthew 5:7 teaches, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." The principle is clear - when you show favour to others, God shows favour to you. In 2 Timothy 1:16-18, Paul prays for Onesiphorus to "find mercy from the Lord in that day" because of how he had ministered to Paul. Service has a rewarder!

4. Confess Favour Over Your Life
Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that "death and life are in the power of the tongue." Instead of speaking negatively about your circumstances, declare God's promises of favour over your life. Say with confidence: "Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life" (Psalm 23:6). Speak what God says about you, not what your current situation suggests.

How Does Communion Connect to Divine Favour?
The communion table represents better things. Hebrews 12:24 speaks of "the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things." When we partake in communion, we're not just participating in a ritual - we're connecting with the power of Christ's sacrifice that brings favour, healing, and breakthrough. This is why communion should be a regular practice for believers. It's not just tradition; it's a powerful spiritual act that positions us to receive God's favour.

Life Application
As you consider God's promise that your time and turn of favour have come, here are some practical ways to apply this message:

  1. Begin each day declaring God's favour over your life. Speak Psalm 5:12 over yourself: "For You, O LORD, will bless me with favour; You will surround me with favour as with a shield."

  2. Look for opportunities to show favour to others this week. Remember, when you show mercy and favour, you position yourself to receive the same.

  3. Identify one area where you can be more "kingdom-addicted." How can you invest more of your time, talents, or resources in God's kingdom?

  4. When you face challenges, ask yourself: "Am I speaking death or life over this situation?" Choose to speak words of faith and favour.

  5. Pray Psalm 106:4 daily: "Remember me, O LORD, with the favour You have toward Your people. Visit me with Your salvation."

Your time of struggle is ending. Your season of favour is beginning. The rest of your days will be the best of your days as you walk in the supernatural favour God has prepared for you!
